About: This 276 acre park, full of large pines and old-growth hardwoods, contains hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. Rocky Branch Creek flows through the park. A 4.2-mile gravel road circles through the woodlands, offering access to 7.5 miles of hiking and biking trails.
A three-mile section of the cross-state Palmetto Trail also runs through the Piedmont park and connects to six miles of equestrian paths.
Location: From exit 76 on I 26, follow SC 219 toward Newberry to the intersection with US 76/SC 34. Turn left, and drive to the traffic light where SC 34 splits to the right. The entrance to Lynches Woods is at a large sign on the left.
